If Windows 7 (or part therof) is still on my machine, how can I see it and remove it now? So, my question now is, do I still have the Windows 7 OS, or parts of it, on my MacBook Pro? Or did removing Parallels 6 also take Windows 7 with it? If anyone knows, please let me know.
UNINSTALL PARALLELS 13 HOW TO
Since that method was not an option, I did not know how to otherwise remove Windows 7 first, before Parallels, so I simply uninstalled Parallels 6. One of the non-working features of Parallels was the OS uninstall (Parallels Desktop > File > Remove). install and enter your password for Ubuntu. Right-click in the middle of the folder and select Open in Terminal Run the following command: sudo. Select Reinstall Parallels Tools. Open your home folder in Ubuntu and on the left pane select Parallels Tools. I'm battered enough to routinely clean out complex things before an OS update, but I suspect that most Parallels users, geeky as they are, missed this. To reinstall Parallels Tools with Parallels Desktop: Click Actions button at the top Mac menu.If your Windows is running in Full-screen mode and theres no Mac menu, put the cursor at the very screen top and leave it there for a while, or press Option+Ctrl. I then had Windows 7 Home Premium (64-bit) running in Parallels.ĭue to some glitches in Parallels (and total lack of support) I decided to remove Parallels and Windows 7. The uninstall procedure doesn't affect your existing Virtual Machines.BTW, this is the first place I read that you should uninstall Parallels before upgrading to 10.5. I recently had Parallels Desktop 6 running on a MacBook Pro (Snow Leopard OS X 10.6.5 2.66 GHz Intel Core 2 Duo 4 GB MHz DDR3 RAM).
